TBTA – New Service Building at the Marine Parkway Bridge – MP-08 Environmental Planning & Management, Inc. as subconsultants to Gruzen Samton, performed a hazardous material investigation related to the construction of a new (expanded) service building and demolition of the existing service building. The purpose of this environmental site investigation was to identify any environmental issues that may have affected soil quality and require further investigation or mitigation prior to or during building demolition and property redevelopment. EPM also conducted a Phase I investigation to identify areas of potential concern to assist in the evaluation of further action. A Phase II sampling program consisting of the collection and analysis of soil and groundwater sampling was performed at areas of concern and in areas proposed for excavation due to the removal and installation of new utilities and foundations. Petroleum tank removal and soil excavation specifications were prepared. EPM conducted an investigation of all suspect hazardous materials within the existing building. Asbestos, lead, PCB and Mercury containing materials were identified, and remediation design documents were prepared. At completion of final design, the project was terminated due to lack of funding |

TBTA – Design Services Agreement on an As-Needed Basis Environmental Planning & Management, Inc., as subconsultants to Edwards & Kelcey has provided asbestos and lead survey and design services under five assignments: the Verrazano Narrows Eastbound Toll Plaza, where EPM provided asbestos and lead remediation design documents; the Queens Midtown Tunnel, where EPM provided asbestos survey and remediation design services in connection with a boiler room rehabilitation; asbestos and lead investigations were conducted in pump rooms throughout Queens Midtown Tunnel Facilities and Brooklyn Battery Tunnel; and asbestos and lead investigations and remediation design documents were prepared in connection with masonry, roof and window replacement at several Brooklyn Battery Tunnel Facilities. |

TBTA – CI Services for Contract GFM-380, Misc. Painting at Various
Authority Facilities, GFM-399 & VNM-316, Painting at Verrazano Narrows
Bridge Environmental Planning & Management, Inc., as subconsultants to KTA-Tator, provided on-site inspectors on an as-needed basis to conduct Lead Oversight During High Pressure Water Jetting (GFM-399, GFM-380) on toll booths throughout TBTA, and Oversight During Abrasive Blasting (VNM-316) on the Verrazano Bridge. EPM provided on-site air monitoring services in the form of high volume air sampling (PM-10, TSP and TSP-lead) and low volume sampling of heavy metals. EPM also conducted visible emissions monitoring, and general monitoring of the containment.

TBTA – PSC-00-2609B Asbestos Air Monitoring Services, on an As-Needed
Basis
Environmental Planning & Management, Inc., provided asbestos air monitoring services on an as needed basis to MTA Bridges and Tunnels. EPM participated in eight assignments. Assignments have included background, pre-during and post abatement air monitoring in association with the following projects: · Asbestos remediation at the Manhattan Ventilation Building at the Queens Midtown Tunnel; · A multi-phased remediation of sub-stations and associated electrical components at the Throgs Neck Bridge (TN-37); · Asbestos fireproofing removal within the boiler room at the Cross Bay Bridge Service Building; · Asbestos vibration cloth removal from an electrical room within the Verrazano Service Building; · Asbestos mastic removal from an HVAC room wall within the south building garage of the Robert Moses Building. · Abatement of insulated piping suspended from the roadway, at the Henry Hudson Bridge, toll plaza.
